Aloha,
What started out as a 10th grade school project for biology class has turned into a career that has allowed John to travel the world and make a living doing something he loves. As a graduate of the famous Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Calif., John has a delicate focus and understanding of light and how it can flatter a subject. Initially starting his career doing Commercial /Advertising assignments, John later moved into Weddings and Family Portraits. When asked what he is most passionate about he simply said, “My passion and desire is to make people look their best while allowing them to be themselves. My career in photography has given me the opportunity to meet people of all walks of life and have so many memorable experiences. We are all so different, yet so much the same!”

Recently the Pohl family visited Maui from their southern California home. Wendy knew this vacation would be a perfect time to update all their family pictures. We all met at Kapalua Bay for a sunset session and Mother Nature was an awesome participant. We had beautiful soft light in the beginning and a spectacular sunset for the end of our session. Maui Ritz-Carlton Wedding

Recently, Valerie and David escaped to Maui and tied their Wedding Knot out on the scenic cliffs of the Ritz-Carlton Maui. We had beautiful weather conditions and a glorious sunset that evening. Maui Portrait Photography- Mitchell & Black

Aloha & HAPPY HOPLIDAYS,

Tis the Season for family gatherings and vacations. Recently these two couples were on Maui for a vacation and decided to have a Maui Family Portrait made. It was really fun meeting two couples with such cute little ones and the desire to have a fun beach day. I decided that Baby Beach was the spot for that day as it was crisp and clear. You would never know that less than 1/4 mile away the trade winds were blowing a steady 20-30 knots. Enjoy these loving images of great friends.
